Here are the snaps of a memorable afternoon spent at The Presidency Club, Chennai in renewing old acquaintances and meeting new. Thanks to Gita for being the catalyst and thanks to Bhala for all the legwork in organising the event.

Great! Looks like all of you had a lot of fun. Will definitely try to make it to the next one}
ReplyDeleteWill add some more photographs later today after I get them from the others who attended
ReplyDeleteNice get together. Thanks to Rishi (or was it Padmanabhan?) for getting The Hindu to cover it as well. Great photos too. Good fellowship. Thanks all
ReplyDeleteThe Chennai rendezvous was a superb event, I am told. A few mentioned that Shuchi, Kishore and I should have been there. It feels nice to be mentioned in higher circles. ;-) Bhala, Col, CV and everyone involved, not to forget Gita from the US, deserves a big pat on the back.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. I got the trailers from LV last evening.
The Hindu report, although crisp and short, was quite quick. Bhala, it appears was asking about a possible meet in Mangalore. My offer is open and valid for an indefinite period. Now it is raining heavily here. Because of the late beginning of monsoons, the rain is expected to prolong. December-January is a time for weddings and other events. Mid-Jan should be fine.
It was a nice get together :) Enjoyed it . Thanks sir for sharing the pics :) ( I missed the group photo :( )
ReplyDeleteMe too ;-)
DeleteNice pics, thanks for sharing them. It was great to see everyone yesterday.
ReplyDeleteNice pics. Thanks, Sir. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like more like an official Crosswordshop what with name tags and whatnot ! Solvers and bloggers who couldn't make it, feel envious, more so since after the Hoggers meet( a sumptuous eats?) bere and vodka ( made after brewing idlis in the tummy?) at Afterdark's place. Was it after dark? Only for stags?
ReplyDeleteNice pics that put faces to the names and compilers . Waiting to see more of Dil- phek photos ! Any videos?
Did all those confirmed attend? was the attendance as expected?
Eager to see Gridman's grid lock with his mysterious psyched up words and phrases coming Sunday.
Looks like the only way i can ever meet others is a Bloggers, sloggers, solvers& compilers Meet in CBE, as I'm a homebird not given to travel.
Deepak: It would help if you had put in the names of the compilers against their pseudonyms, tho' some of them are identified ! Some how, I don't like the word pseudo as it sounds phoney !
ReplyDeleteAgain, I like that medallion or is it a pendant of crosswords worn by Ms Gita Iyer? Can I have an enlargement of it? It is patent that she wears her passion close to her heart !!!
